Art and Human Resilience

Inspired by his profound passion for visual arts and both personal and collective experiences of trauma, healing, and reconciliation, Olivier is currently conducting his Thomas J. Watson Fellowship project Art and Human Resilience in Cabo Verde, Senegal, France, Mongolia, Bhutan, Papua New Guinea, and Mexico. His main purpose is to  examine and appreciate how diverse communities utilize audio and visual arts to process their traumatic past and to build a culture of tolerance and reconciliation.
