Olivier Mbabazi (b.1996) is a Rwandan visual artist, filmmaker, singer, songwriter, producer, and educator. He is currently residing on the unceded territories of the Musqueam and Squamish Nations, also known as Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Oliver studied sculpture, ceramic, and music at Ecole d'arts de Nyundo in Rwanda, stone sculpture at Kunst Gymnasium in Germany, marketing management at the University of Chicago, and graduated from Sewanee The University of the South in United States with a double major in Fine Arts and French. He is doing a MFA in fine art at the University of British Columbia. He is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow, Beckeen Scholar, 213-A Leader, and former member of the Interfaith Advisory Board. His works have been exhibited in Canada, Germany, Rwanda, and the United States of America. 


Drawing from personal and collective experiences and narratives, Olivier Mbabazi's work examines intersections and collisions between memory, culture, and identity.
